Sorry with all the knitting submissions lately- but I have been doing a lot of knitting...
This was my first time making a sweater- or indeed anything that is useful. I used this pattern by DROPS, which is available for free here.
I used DROPS Lima, which is a blend of wool and alpaca, so it's very warm and thick and sturdy, but also soft and not unbearably itchy.
The sweater itself was knit entirely in the round, so no seaming!!
